There are a few ways to play Idaho Pick 4. Take a look through the options below to see which one appeals to you most. It might be that you want to go in search of the biggest payout, get the best odds, or try to combine both approaches.

This is the wager type which offers the largest prizes. To win, you have to match all four numbers in the correct position, so a wager of 1890 (when Idaho was admitted to the Union) would only pay out if the numbers were drawn as 1890, not any other combination such as 0981.
Playing an Any Order wager gives you a better chance of winning, even if the payout wouldn't be so high. You just have to match all four numbers and the order doesn't matter, so a wager on 1890 would still pay out if the numbers were drawn in another order such as 1098.
One way to get the big payout of an Exact Order play with the favorable odds of an Any Order play is to select the Exact/Any option. Half your money goes on each play type, so you can either win both parts of the wager or just the Any Order prize.
For a Pair wager, you just need to match two numbers in exact order to win. There are three options - Front Pair (first two numbers - 12XX), Mid Pair (the second and third digits - X23X), or Back Pair (the last two numbers - XX34). The odds of winning are just 1 in 100.
If you play an Exact Order wager, there is only one way to match the winning numbers - you have to get each digit in the correct place. However, if you play an Any Order wager (or Exact/Any), the combination of numbers you pick becomes an important factor.
If three of your numbers are identical, for example 2022, this is described as a 4-Way play because there are four possible combinations that would win you a prize (2022, 0222, 2202 and 2220).
